Woolaroc Road Race

Abby's Girl Scout troop had the opportunity to help out at the Woolaroc Road Race this past weekend. I just love it when the troop gets together! They are such a neat group of girls!

During the race, the girls passed out water to the runners as they ran by. The runners were very appreciative!!

On the way out of Woolaroc we came upon this creature. Elk? We could he the elk calling in the early morning, so we figured that's what this was. God's creation is just truly amazing!!!

The Bruin Mile 2010

Last year Abby participated in the Bruin Mile for the first time (check it out here) and she was excited to do it again this year! Playing softball has really motivated to get moving and work on running longer distances. SO excited to see that her friend, Sam, from Girl Scouts was there too!

Abby's goal this year was to run more than she did last year and, most importantly, to finish. She did a great job, however, she was very distracted by her friends and ended up doing a lot of walking!
But she finished with a good strong run!!Across the finish line!!

Babysitting Baby Emma

My friend, Deborah, had a baby a few months ago and we had the opportunity to watch her! Everyone in my house LOVES babies so we all enjoyed it very much!! Can you tell?

No, Luke doesn't have anything to do with the fact that Baby Emma was crying!

The Many Faces Of Luke

Luke is a typical two year old boy in every way! We definitely have our moments these days and I often think there is a reason that God makes kids cute! As ornery as my little guy can be, he is still so much fun!

Fall Softball

Abby LOVED softball so much this past spring that she didn't hesitate when we asked her if she wanted to play in the fall league. The schedule is a little bit stressful with school, but she still loves it!!!
Check out that stance! The unfortunate thing about this age group is that it is "kid pitch". Obviously, at this age, they are all still learning, but very few balls actually get hit.
But Abby's ready if one actually makes it into her territory!Ben is rarely happy about going to Abby's practices and games and often stays home. Luke loves to go because he loves anything and everything about being outside! I really like it when Ben is there because he is a great helper with Luke. I often don't get to watch the games because of that rascally two year old!
Ben thought Luke would be better if had a big stick to play with!

My Big Distraction

WOW! It seems like I have been gone forever! Not really gone, because I have been home, but gone from here. Last week our modem died and I really believe that God took the computer away from me for a reason! (How dare God title one of my bible study lessons last week "The Hindrance of Laziness"! Perhaps He was trying to tell me something...) It is a HUGE distraction for me. I spend way too much time on here and not enough time with Him, or doing what needs done at home, or playing, singing, and reading with Luke. So much gets left behind and I get stressed out because there is so much to do due to my poor time management. I really missed not having the computer around, however, I plan on spending a lot less time on the computer and a lot more time on the things that really matter!
