Upward Awards Night

Abby really enjoyed her first year of cheerleading! Monday night they had a little awards night.

The night included introduction of ALL of the Upwards teams as well as each of the cheer teams doing one of their cheers.

Then all of the cheerleaders did a dance all together.

The main entertainment for the evening was brought by comic ventriloquist, Steve Brogan. He was great!

We are looking forward to more Upward cheerleading next year!

Go Abby!!

Abby has wanted to give cheerleading a try for a long time. Now she's got her chance! Last Saturday was her first game and she LOVED it!! So far, I am loving the organization that puts this program together! It is a Christian organization which means that at each practice they have a devotional/prayer time as well as prayer before the games. I love it! It is basically for fun and not meant to be competitive at all! I love that for this being our first time with a new sport! Very encouraging! If you know Abby you know that she does not like for people to see her. She is always afraid she will mess up or of what people will think of her. I think this is going to be a great confidence building experience for her.

I am so glad for Abby to be the one doing something she enjoys! For so long she was carted around to all of Ben's things. Now it's her turn and she is loving it!!
