iShine Live

A month or two ago Abby and I heard a commercial on the radio for a concert called iShine Live. Here is how it was described:

Have you ever seen kids ministering to kids? Its unique, its powerful, its iShine.

iShine LIVE! is a high-energy, Biblically-based event geared just for tweens! From the “red carpet” experience for every kid who comes to the show, to the amazing lights, video, and powerful pop and rock music and exciting game show, iShine will have tweens leaving completely confident that they are a unique creation of God, designed to glorify Him and shine His light through their lives.

The tour has featured performances from groups like The Rubyz and Mission Six - as heard on Radio Disney, Disney's "Next Big Thing" featured artist, Jasmine, and star of "How to Eat Fried Worms" and Disney's "Minute Men", Luke Benward. Also a young teen cancer survivor and nationally known speaker, Paige Armstrong, with an encouraging message about finding what matters most to Christ amidst the questionable values that the world promotes.

Wouldn't you want to go too! (That is if you were a "tween") So, I ordered tickets and Abby and I got to go out on a date! Just us girls! YAY!!!

We're on our way!
I surprised Abby with where we were going to dinner. What could be better for a mommy/daughter date than The Cheesecake Factory? Nothing but the best for my baby girl!
Abby got a little crazy...
The funny thing is that she hates having her picture taken! All of the other pictures I had to beg for! But once she decided to hang the spoon on her nose and chin I heard, "Hurry Mom!"
What's dinner at The Cheesecake Factory without cheesecake? Our favorite is the Chocolate Coconut Cream! YUM!!!

Ready for iShine Live!
The Ruby'z! Abby loved them!
Grace Campbell
Paige Armstrong delivered a great message about our identity being in Christ! Not in our clothes, friends, etc....Great message!
The whole crew!
Waiting in line for autographs!
We finally made it to the autograph area! Here's Abby with Chelsea Muse. So cute!

Autographs from The Ruby'z!
Abby thought this boy from Mission 6 was so cute! Funny!
Abby and I had a great night out together! Love that girl!!
